About Us

The TVInhibitor is the product of the barren, infertile mind of insurance underwriter, Dave Andres.  One day, in 2000, while atrophying his brain in front of the television, he had the following thought: “If I put some sort of obstacle between me and the images on my TV screen, I might have an easier time moderating my use of the television.”  (A fairly long thought for someone watching TV.)   After experimenting with different materials hoping to use “static cling” to keep the sign on the television, he came upon the solution of the suction cup.

….and it worked!!  The simple sign, placed directly on the TV, having a message either encouraging him to do something more productive or simply discouraging him from watching TV, actually helped him get his habit under control.   He now leads a far richer life (although he’s still an insurance underwriter).

The TVInhibitors are made in the USA in the great state of Michigan.
